Who We Are
New Choices Career Development Program works with women in transition, helping them to gain the skills and resources to achieve economic self-sufficiency and personal empowerment. Women in transition can be defined as any experiencing or seeking change in their lives, those who see a discrepancy between where they are in life and where they wish to be.
What We Do
Through a ten-day, sixty-hour career guidance class, offered five times a year to women in transition, the New Choices Career Development Program benefits our students by giving them the skills and resources to succeed. Students participate in workshops on the importance of self-esteem, effective communication styles, stress management, identifying vocational skills, interest assessments, resumé building, and interview and job seeking skills.
